e.proof.sig.f

The signature doesn't match the data under the signer's key state.

Retrying the same thing changes nothing.

What a response says

The signature over the data you gave me doesn't verify under {aid}'s key state, so I can't treat it as authentic.

The placeholders are filled from aid, which travel positionally in the args member of the response.

What to do

If the artifact is older than the key state you judged it against, say which place in the key history you mean.

Where it sits

Sorter e — Error. The problem clearly defeats someone's intentions.
Obstacle e.proof. — Supplied material fails verification against a reference
Disposition f — Final. Retrying the same thing changes nothing.

A handler can match this code exactly, or by any prefix above it: e.proof., e.proof.sig..
