e.proof.presenter.f¶
That credential names an issuee, and the party presenting it is neither the issuee nor the issuer.
Retrying the same thing changes nothing.
What a response says¶
The grant was signed by {presenter}, but the credential confers on {issuee} and was issued by {issuer}. A targeted credential presented by anybody else is the substitution this check exists to refuse.
The placeholders are filled from presenter, issuee, issuer, which travel positionally in the args member of the response.
What to do¶
Verifying the bytes alone would still succeed — that is what makes a stolen credential dangerous. Presenter-binding is exactly what the IPEX path adds (@8sgnrd8g), so it refuses here rather than describing.
Where it sits¶
| Sorter | e — Error. The problem clearly defeats someone's intentions. |
| Obstacle | e.proof. — Supplied material fails verification against a reference |
| Disposition | f — Final. Retrying the same thing changes nothing. |
A handler can match this code exactly, or by any prefix above it: e.proof., e.proof.presenter..
