e.proof.anchor.chain.f

The anchor chain does not hold together.

Retrying the same thing changes nothing.

What a response says

The anchor at {at} names {claimed} as the entry before it, and the entry there digests to {actual}.

The placeholders are filled from at, claimed, actual, which travel positionally in the args member of the response.

What to do

The chain is what an open-loop reader has instead of the steward's code. A break means the bytes were changed after they were anchored, or the digest algorithm on the epoch's genesis is not the one that computed them.

Where it sits

Sorter e — Error. The problem clearly defeats someone's intentions.
Obstacle e.proof. — Supplied material fails verification against a reference
Disposition f — Final. Retrying the same thing changes nothing.

A handler can match this code exactly, or by any prefix above it: e.proof., e.proof.anchor., e.proof.anchor.chain..
