e.state.conflict.prior.f

That rotation follows a different event than this group's latest, so I won't sign it.

Retrying the same thing changes nothing.

What a response says

The rotation follows {named} at sequence number {sn}, and {gid}'s key history is at {current}. Signing it would put this member's endorsement on an event no validator could ever accept.

The placeholders are filled from gid, named, sn, current, which travel positionally in the args member of the response.

What to do

Usually a proposal that has been overtaken: somebody assembled a different rotation while this one was in circulation. Nothing repairs it — propose the rotation again.

Where it sits

Sorter e — Error. The problem clearly defeats someone's intentions.
Obstacle e.state. — The condition of the target
Disposition f — Final. Retrying the same thing changes nothing.

A handler can match this code exactly, or by any prefix above it: e.state., e.state.conflict., e.state.conflict.prior..
