e.self.corrupt.declarations.f

I can't read my own record of what this lockbox's witnesses have declared, so I stopped.

Retrying the same thing changes nothing.

What a response says

The record at {path} is not one I can make sense of: {cause}. I won't carry on without it, because a witness that has once said it is laboratory infrastructure must go on saying so here whatever it says later, and forgetting that silently is the one failure this record exists to prevent.

The placeholders are filled from path, cause, which travel positionally in the args member of the response.

What to do

Delete the file to start the record over. That loses what this lockbox had seen, so any witness that has since stopped declaring will read as though it never did — which is why I am telling you rather than doing it.

Where it sits

Sorter e — Error. The problem clearly defeats someone's intentions.
Obstacle e.self. — Us — our fault, or we cannot attribute it
Disposition f — Final. Retrying the same thing changes nothing.

A handler can match this code exactly, or by any prefix above it: e.self., e.self.corrupt., e.self.corrupt.declarations..
