e.input.format.designator.source.f

A source was built for a designator that cannot be one.

Retrying the same thing changes nothing.

What a response says

The value {found} cannot be a source, because a source is the {known}.

The placeholders are filled from found, known, which travel positionally in the args member of the response.

What to do

Untrusted content is what a target is credited to when no source contains it, so a source claiming it would write the answer in advance. The same value will fail every time, so the fix is in the caller that built it.

Where it sits

Sorter e — Error. The problem clearly defeats someone's intentions.
Obstacle e.input. — What you sent
Disposition f — Final. Retrying the same thing changes nothing.

A handler can match this code exactly, or by any prefix above it: e.input., e.input.format., e.input.format.designator., e.input.format.designator.source..
